Duke’s Camp
On arrival in Maun, Botswana you will be transferred by light aircraft to Duke’s Camp, situated in a remote wilderness on the northern fringes of the Okavango Delta. An intimate camp with just 8 tented rooms, Duke’s Camp is named in honour of Sarefo ‘Duke’ Sarefo, the custodian of this part of the Okavango Delta. The tents are set on raised wooden decks under a canopy of ebony and leadwood trees. Over the next three nights, guests will enjoy activities including game drives, mokoro and boat excursions (water level dependant). For an additional cost, and an experience to remember, guests can enjoy a helicopter flight (30 minutes) to The Tsodilo Hills, a fascinating World Heritage Site that has been home to the Bushmen for thousands of years. It is a treasure trove of ancient rock art, with over 4,500 individual paintings dating back to 800AD. D (day 1) B L D (days 2 & 3)

Jack’s Camp
Today transfer to romantic Jack’s Camp, located in a private concession adjacent to the otherworldly landscapes of the Makgadikgadi Pans National Park. The central mess tent and evocative guest tents pay homage to its past, adorned in vintage 1940’s style campaign furniture. The salt pans stretch for miles on end and the dramatic landscape is home to fascinating desert species including brown hyena, porcupine and aardwolf. There are two distinct seasons – dry and green – so some activities here are only available at certain times. During the green season (Dec-April) rains transform the landscape into beautiful grassland. Activities at Jack’s Camp include game drives, walking with the Bushmen, quad biking (seasonal) and a visit to see the habituated meerkats. B L D
