Take in the best of Botswana
Explore Botswana on this exclusive 12-day safari, travelling from the Makgadikgadi Pans through Linyanti and into the Okavango Delta.
Incorporating four of the most exclusive luxury camps in Botswana in four distinct yet equally extraordinary wildlife areas, this is the ultimate Botswana safari. Fly between destinations to spend less time travelling and more hours gameviewing, enjoying the highest possible standards in hospitality whilst ensconced in some of Africa’s last great wildernesses.
Start your journey at romantic San Camp in the Makgadikgadi Salt Pans, an exclusive area home to desert-adapted wildlife including rare brown hyena, aardwolf and black-maned Kalahari lion. Guests can enjoy interactions with the local Bushmen, explore the pans by quad bike and come face-to-face with semi-habituated meerkats.
Flying north, stay at iconic Zarafa Camp (meaning “the beloved one” in Arabic) , an extravagant property situated in the private 320,000-acre Selinda Reserve. This enchanting and intimate luxury eco-camp accommodates just eight guests in 4 glorious, tented villas. Gameviewing centres on morning and afternoon/early evening game drives in open 4WD vehicles – the Selinda Reserve is renowned for its predators including leopard, lion, cheetah and the endangered African wild dog.
Next, explore the legendary Moremi Game Reserve, staying at the equally legendary Mombo Camp. Located on Chief’s Island, the camp boasts an enviable position in the reserve, right in the heart of big cat country. It has built a reputation over the last 30 years as one of Africa’s most exclusive camps.
Finally finish at beautiful Jao Camp – where forest meets floodplain – the camp is a luxurious property in the 60,000-hectare Jao Reserve in the heart of the Okavango Delta. With such a diversity of landscapes at its doorstep, Jao offers guests a wide range of activities, the highlight being mokoro (dugout canoe) and boat excursions through the delta’s pristine waterways.
