On the other side of the island to big sister Chitabe, Chitabe Lediba Camp offers a more intimate experience of this part of the southeastern Okavango Delta. With just 5 tented suites – two of which are specially set up for travellers with children – this property is ideal for small groups and families.
The shared dining and lounge areas as well as the small swimming pool overlook a waterhole or “lediba” from which the camp takes its name. A multitude of wildlife are known to quench their thirst here, and the landscapes surrounding this camp also attract a huge variety of birds.
Activities at Chitabe Lediba include game drives in open 4X4s, accommodating a maximum of 7 guests so everybody gets a “window” seat. Vehicle safaris at sunset reveal interesting nocturnal mammals such as bushbaby, civet and genet. It’s also possible to go on guided walks, discovering smaller creatures often missed when gameviewing by vehicle.
