Kanana is an outstanding safari camp nestled within a rich mosaic of habitats in a private concession located southwest of the Okavango Delta.
This outstanding camp nestles in a private concession located southwest of the Okavango Delta. Surrounded by a rich mosaic of habitats ranging from woodland to palm-dotted islands, Kanana offers a wealth of safari experiences that depend on the water levels in the region with guests able to enjoy the spectacle of floodwaters rising around the camp at certain times of year.
Go on open vehicle game drives morning, afternoon and night to uncover the Okavango Delta’s diversity of wildlife. Explore the area on foot accompanied by an expert guide, cruise crystal-clear waterways by motorboat or better yet, by glass-bottomed mokoro (dugout canoe). Birding is especially noteworthy at Kanana, with camp guests afforded exclusive access to one of Southern Africa’s largest heronries. There is also a special deck here where you can sleep out under the stars.
Accommodation at Kanana is provided in 7 tented suites, one set up specifically for families. All are spaced apart for maximum privacy whilst being a comfortable distance from the shared main areas, where you’ll find a swimming pool, dining room and lounge.
