Located on a tree-covered island in the heart of the Okavango Delta, Kwetsani Camp is a fine place to see a variety of species who have adapted to the area including red lechwe, Pel’s Fishing Owl and painted reed frogs. To enhance the wilderness experience, there are only five “tree-house” chalets at this property, stylishly appointed and set on stilts for spectacular views of the surrounding floodplains.
The raised dining room, lounge and bar area offer equally scenic vistas, with plenty of space to stretch out with a good book and refreshing drink. There is also a plunge pool and sundeck furnished with sun loungers to while away warm afternoons.
Activities at Kwetsani Camp are very much season-dependent, with more land-based options in summer and mainly water-based excursions in winter. Whether you’re scouring the area by open 4X4, boat or mokoro (dugout canoe), you’ll have ample opportunities to observe the Okavango Delta’s prolific wildlife.
