Discover the fairy tale landscape of Khwai Private Reserve
Located in the beautiful Khwai Private Reserve, Tuludi Camp is surrounded by a fairy tale landscape of floodplains, emerald forests and a myriad of waterways. Accommodating up to 16 guests in 7 treehouse-style rooms – including one family tent – Tuludi is one of the most sophisticated and intimate properties in the Khwai Private Reserve.
The beautiful rooms blend cotemporary with traditional styles and are shaded by cool leadwood trees. Incredibly spacious, the rooms boast plenty of open space, a work desk, a comfortable lounge area and an ensuite bathroom that features indoor and outdoor showers as well as a bathtub. Each room also has an expansive outdoor deck. The huge deck has a lovely sunken lounge area and a private plunge pool where guests can relax in comfort and complete privacy during the day in between activities.
The rooms are connected to the expansive main area by raised wooden walkways that twist and turn through the leadwood trees. The massive communal area boasts its own outdoor deck overlooking the floodplain, that is filled with chairs and tables, swing chairs, padded armchairs and a lovely sunken lounge. Undercover, there is also a beautiful central bar sitting in between two elegant lounges as well as a spacious dining area that spills onto the deck. Other facilities include a swimming pool, fire pit and a “treehouse” library elevated four metres above the ground.
The lodge offers an array of exciting activities centring around morning and afternoon game drives through the pristine wilderness. Depending on the water levels, guests can also explore the Okavango Delta’s myriad of waterways by boat or a traditional mokoro (dugout canoe). Guided walking safaris are also possible and offer safari-goers a chance to see the little details of the landscape, as guides point out different plants and look for animal tracks. For the ultimate safari experience, guests can sleep out under the stars in the private Sky Suite or at one of three exclusive Sky Beds.
Tuludi Sky Suite
An exclusive suite immersed in nature, the Sky Suite is a private raised suite with a King-sized bed set under the stars. The wooden platform consists of a peaceful sitting area and fireplace, an open bedroom surrounded by a fly net and an open-air ensuite bathroom. A romantic hideaway for couples or honeymooners seeking solitude, the platform has limited electricity, instead lit by romantic hurricane lamps. Enjoy a refreshing drink as you watch the sun go down before tucking into a tasty dinner as you sit around the crackling fire listening to the soundtrack of the bush. Awaken to the sounds and smells of Africa and enjoy a fresh coffee and light breakfast before heading on a morning game drive back to camp.
