Encounter plentiful predators including lion and African wild dog
Set alongside the ephemeral Savute Channel, Savuti Camp is located in a privileged wildlife area, best known for its plentiful predators including lion and African wild dog. Guests are accommodated in 7 very comfortable walk-in tents, with one specially designed for families.
The thatched central dining and lounge area has a large viewing deck with a fire pit, as well as a small swimming pool where you can relax and refresh while watching animals congregating around the Channel. The camp also has a hide where sleepouts under the African stars are possible.
Game drives uncover the reserve’s huge densities of wildlife and prolific birdlife, with safaris available at night to seek out bushbaby, aardwolf and maybe even an elusive pangolin. Nature walks allow a closer look at the creatures of the bush, while boat or mokoro excursions (water levels permitting) permit unobtrusive observation of species in the reeds and on the banks. Catch-and-release fishing is also possible at Savuti Camp.
