Tipilikwani Camp
Tipilikwani Camp is close to where over a million wildebeest and thousands of zebra cross from Tanzania into Kenya’s Masai Mara during the annual migration.
Open all year round, Tipilikwani Camp occupies a lovely setting on the banks of the Talek River, which boasts plenty of permanent game. The 20 well-appointed guest tents at Tipilikwani Camp are decorated in rich reds, browns and coppers echoing Maasai culture. Each tent also has a comfortable outdoor deck facing the river, furnished with deck chairs and table for a quiet place where guests can relax in private. Guests here can enjoy a meal in the privacy of their own tent or dine in the more convivial atmosphere of the shared dining room. The camp also has a comfortable lounge and bar.
Activities at this wonderful camp include expert-guided game drives in open-sided safari vehicles which are rare in the Masai Mara, informative lectures on nature and culture by Tipilikwani Camp’s resident naturalist, as well as entertainment by local Maasai warriors. It’s also possible to visit a traditional Maasai manyatta (village) or kraal (enclosure).

From Nairobi the easiest way to reach the camp is via a short light aircraft flight from Nairobi’s domestic airport to Ol Kiombo Airstrip. The airstrip is a 45 minute game drive from the property. Alternatively, Tipilikwani Camp can be reached by road from Nairobi – approximately a 6 hour drive.
