Ongava Tented Camp is a charming safari camp situated on a wonderful private reserve
Designed to be an extension of its surrounding wild landscape, Ongava Tented Camp is located on the exclusive Ongava Game Reserve, which adjoins Namibia’s iconic Etosha National Park . The camp offers accommodation in just 8 tented suites in total, including one family unit that can sleep four. All are large and lovely, with views of a waterhole, popular with local wildlife. Inside every tent are indoor and outdoor showers, whilst every unit has a partially shaded veranda at the front, ideal for private gameviewing.
All meals are enjoyed in Ongava Tented Camp’s central dining area, where icy sundowner drinks can be enjoyed in the company of lion, gemsbok and other beautiful antelope. Right next to this handsome structure of stone, canvas and thatch is a small swimming pool, where you can also watch the endless parade of thirsty wildlife.
Ongava Tented Camp’s proximity to Etosha National Park allows for easy exploration of this famous park by vehicle. As it is privately run, Ongava Game Reserve permits guided walks and has hides in which guests can practise their wildlife photography. It is also one of the few places in southern Africa where visitors can see both black and white rhino with ease.

Getting there
Guests can fly directly into Ongava Game Reserve by light aircraft, as the property has its own private airstrip. It’s also possible to arrive by vehicle from Windhoek, a relatively easy drive of just over 4 hours.
