Blending beautifully into the surrounding bush, andBeyond Phinda Vlei Lodge is a tranquil oasis in the middle of pristine wilderness. The lodge is built in the style of a turn of the century, plantation-style homestead and features 6 elegant, secluded guest suites. The suites boast antique tapestries, vintage cotton linens and elegant finishes. Each suite has it’s own gorgeous private pools that overlook grassy floodplains known as ‘vlei’ grazed by a wide variety of animals from elephants and lion to warthog.
If you can be tempted to leave your suite, meals can enjoyed in the communal main lodge on a spacious veranda. Also found here is a sumptuous sitting room, handsome library and a convivial fire pit ideal for chatting with fellow guests and enjoying a drink before dinner. For recreation, your personal butler can arrange a gym bag containing equipment for workouts.
The wilderness surrounding andBeyond Phinda Vlei Lodge comprises of seven unique habitats, ranging from rare sand forest to wetlands and forest. Go in search of the many, many creatures that live here on twice-daily game drives, on guided bush walks or on seasonal river cruises. For something different, visit a Zulu village, discover Maputaland beaches or visit an endangered cats project.

How to get to andBeyond Phinda Vlei Lodge
If coming from Johannesburg, the most convenient way to access Phinda Vlei Lodge is to fly into Richards Bay airport. On arrival you are met and transferred by road to the lodge (approximately 2 hours).
