Lemala Nanyukie is situated in the eastern section of the Serengeti National Park
Lemala Nanyukie encapsulates the same excellent standard of comfort and service as the other luxury properties in the Lemala Collection. Meaning ‘endless plains’ in local Maasai dialect, the Serengeti is undoubtedly one of the world’s most celebrated and incredible wilderness areas.
The lodge sits amidst rocky kopjes and shaded by giant acacia trees, and is located 45 minutes’ drive from the Seronera Airstrip and boasts sensational views over the ‘endless plains’. The 15 cathedral-like tents (including a 2-bedroom suite) boast spacious lounge areas and generous bathrooms with double vanity and a free-standing bathtub. The ultra-luxurious tents also have a lovely outdoor deck with a sunken seating area, outdoor shower and a plunge pool looking out over the Serengeti’s magnificent grasslands. Five of the tents have an extra daybed, meaning triples can easily be accommodated.
The main lodge features a comfortable lounge and bar, superb outdoor deck and a refreshing swimming pool. There are also indoor and outdoor dining areas and a cosy campfire, the ideal place to enjoy a post dinner drink. Guests can also enjoy bush breakfasts or lantern-lit dinners. A spa tent hidden within the trees offers a secluded place to relax and enjoy a treatment or two. Open year-round activities revolve around game drives exploring the expansive grasslands and bush walks.
