Spend several nights in a comfortable tented camp in the wild central Serengeti before continuing on to Zanzibar to visit fascinating Stone Town and relax at an idyllic beach resort.

Gorillas, Serengeti Safari & Zanzibar
14 days/13 nights
Day 1
Rwanda, Volcanoes National Park
Arrive early into Kigali and enjoy a city tour followed by lunch, then drive 2 hours to the comfortable Mountain Gorilla View Lodge located near scenic Volcanoes National Park for overnight. LD
Day 2
Rwanda, Volcanoes National Park
Early breakfast and 6:15am departure to park headquarters for the start of your gorilla trek. You may spend up to 1 hour with a gorilla troop, once they are found. Lunch at your lodge with time to relax or explore the local area before dinner. BLD
Day 3
Rwanda, Kigali
Transfer by road back to Rwanda’s pleasant capital. Check in to the elegant Kigali Serena Hotel and enjoy the facilities or explore this forward-looking city at leisure. B
Day 4
Tanzania, Tarangire
Fly to Kilimanjaro Airport, where you are met and transferred to Arusha for lunch. Drive to the welcoming Tarangire Safari Lodge, located on a hill overlooking the game-rich plains of Tarangire National Park. BLD
Days 5/6
Tanzania, Ngorongoro Crater
Depart Tarangire for the famous Ngorongoro Crater. Your home for the next 2 nights is the Ngorongoro Serena Lodge, which features breathtaking views. On Day 6, enjoy a half day game drive with picnic lunch on the crater floor, which is inhabited by a profusion of wildlife, from elephant and lion to flamingo. BLD
Days 7-9
Tanzania, Serengeti
Journey to the vast golden grasslands of the Serengeti, where (depending on the time of year) you stay at the lovely Lemala Ndutu or Lemala Ewanjan tented camps. BLD
Day 10
Tanzania, Zanzibar
After breakfast, leave the wilderness behind as you return to Kilimanjaro Airport for your flight to exotic Zanzibar. Your base to explore historic Stone Town is the beautiful Zanzibar Serena Hotel, tucked amid palaces and forts, overlooking the ocean.
Days 11-13
Tanzania, Zanzibar North Coast
Head to the island’s unspoilt north coast for rest and relaxation. Your destination is the tranquil Shooting Star Lodge, a small boutique resort set on powdery white sand and shaded by swaying palms.
Day 14
Tours ends Zanzibar airport
Bid farewell to Zanzibar, with a final transfer to the airport where your holiday concludes.
