Bilimungwe Bushcamp
Set in the remote southern reaches of South Luangwa National Park, beautiful, well-shaded Bilimungwe Bushcamp overlooks a trio of waterholes frequented by a plethora of birds and wildlife. Accommodation is offered here in 4 open-fronted chalets with rustic thatched roofs, equipped with indoor and outdoor showers as well as personal timber decks where sundowner drinks and quiet gameviewing can be enjoyed.
The comfortable main areas, comprised of a dining room, lounge and bar, also command great views of the wilderness and its inhabitants. It is from here – the heart of Bilimungwe Bushcamp – that guided walks and game drives depart each day into the reserve, in search of exciting big game species such as lion, leopard and elephant.
Activities are led by excellent, experienced guides including award-winning Manda Chisanga, whose unrivalled knowledge of this unspoilt environment will ensure the best possible opportunities for close wildlife encounters. Afternoon activities conclude with sundowner drinks on the Luangwa River’s edge – a great time to pick your guide’s brain about animal behaviour and the history of the region.

How to get to Bilimungwe Bushcamp
All guests arriving at Mfuwe International Airport are first transferred to Mfuwe Lodge (45 minutes) for refreshments. From this property, Bilimungwe Bushcamp is approximately 3 hours’ drive – with plenty of gameviewing en route.
