Secluded Kanga Expeditions sits next to a pan which shares its name that is the only source of water available all year round in a very untouched inland section of Mana Pools National Park, making the campsite a magnet for wildlife. Wonderfully remote, the property accommodates just 12 guests in Meru-style tents, each which features private ensuite facilities including outdoor showers. One of the tents is built for families and boasts a wrap-around terrace facing the pan with private lounge and dining areas creating a more intimate feel.

The shared central areas comprise of a lounge and dining room where some of the best ‘“armchair safaris” can be had. There is also a lovely viewing deck here, along with a refreshing plunge pool – a treat on warm afternoons. Surrounding the camp is a diversity of ecosystems, ranging from floodplain to forest and plenty of in-between, These landscapes support a huge variety of species from elephant and buffalo to cheetah and antelope.

Activities at Kanga Expeditions include classic game drives, walking safaris, bird-watching as well as excursions to the Zambezi River and its network of pristine channels where you can canoe past hippo pods and try fishing for the legendary tiger fish.
