Bangalore
On arrival in Bangalore, you will be met transferred to our hotel. Overnight Taj Yashwantpur Bangalore.
Days 2/3 | 28/29 Oct
Mysore
Today we will transfer by road to Mysore. Enroute, stop at the historical town of Somanathapura where we will visit the market and nearby Chamundi Hills. On day 3, visit the Prasanna Chennakeshava Temple, also known as the Somnathpur Temple. Located in the nearby town of Somanathapura, the temple stands as one of the finest examples of Hoysala architecture. After lunch, enjoy a tour of Mysore, also known as the City of Palaces. Mysore offers a fascinating combination of rich heritage, beautiful gardens, sacred temples and glorious palaces. Highlights today include the Maharaja’s Palace and St. Philomena’s Cathedral. Nagarhole National Park
Transfer by road this morning (2 hours) to The Serai Kabini, a beautiful hotel on the banks of the Kabini River and on the southern fringes of Nagarhole National Park. Over the next 3 nights we enjoy jungle excursions by boat in the Nagarhole National Park. Overnight The Serai Kabini. B L D
Days 7/8 | 2/3 Nov
Coorg
Following our last jungle excursion and lunch at the hotel, we will be transferred by road (3 hours) to Coorg Wilderness Resort & Spa. Activities here are varied, and include forest nature walks, garden tours, early morning birdwatching, sundowners and visits to Telacauvery (a holy site) and the Harangi Dam. Days 9/10 | 4/5 Nov
Kochi (Cochin)
This morning we will be transferred to Calicut train station (packed lunch included). We board our train and travel across glorious countryside to Kochi. On arrival we will be met and transferred to our hotel in time for dinner. On day 10, we will enjoy a half day tour of the beautiful town of Kochi. Set on a beautiful estuary, Kochi has always been an important and fascinating port location, drawing tourists, traders and explorers alike to its shores for more than 600 years. The Dutch Palace, built by the Portuguese in 1557 and presented to the Raja of Cochin as a gesture of goodwill is one of todays highlights. It is called “The Dutch Palace” due to substantial renovations made by the Dutch in 1663. Other key stops include the Jewish Synagogue (built 1568), St Francis’ Church, the oldest European church in India, and the impressive Chinese Fishing Nets, that cantilever out over the water. Kumarakom
Today we drive to Alleppey where we take a day cruise on the scenic ‘Backwaters’ with lunch included onboard. Afterward, transfer to The Zuri Kumarakom Kerala Resort & Spa, a beautiful resort situated on the shores of Lake Vembanad. Enjoy two nights here to end our Southern Delights itinerary. Day 13 | 8 Nov
Tour Ends, Kochi (Cochin)
After breakfast this morning, we check out of our resort and transfer by road to Cochin International Airport, where our tour ends. B L
