The multi award-winning Maharajas’ Express is one of India’s best known luxury trains, providing travellers with the opportunity to explore India in the style which Indian Maharajas did during the era of the British Raj. The train’s lavish salons have been designed to recreate the personal carriages of these noblemen, while containing every modern amenity money can buy from climate control and Wi-Fi access to ensuite bathrooms with showers.
The Maharajas’ Express carries a maximum of 88 guests, in 20 Deluxe Cabins, 18 Junior Suites, 4 Suites and 1 Presidential Suite. Accommodations are spread across 14 carriages, with plush wall-to-wall carpets, original antiques and rich tapestries. Throughout your journey, enjoy the services of a dedicated butler.
Meals are served on crisp white linen in two elegant dining cars, with an eclectic range of cuisines on offer. There is also a decadent bar, which offers the finest wines and spirits in hand-cut crystal glasses. For some quiet relaxation, head to the lounge, which is equipped with games tables and generous armchairs.
