Rambagh Palace

The extravagant 19th century Rambagh Palace offers spectacularly restored guestrooms that were once the private chambers of the Maharajah of Jaipur.

The extravagant former residence of the Maharajah of Jaipur, the 19th century Rambagh Palace has retained its unassailable grace over two centuries on, offering 78 spectacularly restored guestrooms that were once the king’s private chambers. Many timeless features of the era have been retained or added, including elegant hand-carved chairs and beautiful four-poster beds. Yet, every 21st century amenity is at hand, from makeup mirrors in the Italian marble bathrooms to flatscreen TVs.

As befitting of a palace, there is a croquet lawn, nine-hole putting green, a yoga pavilion, a number of swimming pools, a 24-hour fitness centre and even polo grounds where matches can be viewed. Of course, there are also a wide range of dining options across the royal estate including an opulent Indian fine dining restaurant and an airy cafe where traditional afternoon tea can be enjoyed. For a rare whisky or signature cocktail, head to the legendary Polo Bar.

Join a butler for an insightful heritage walk around Rambagh Palace, or take a vintage car ride around the hotel learning about its former inhabitants. Of course, an excursion to the exquisite Hawa Mahal and impressive Amber Fort is a must. Consider booking in for a signature therapy at the indulgent spa afterwards.
